At Scoil Íosa, we value the strong partnerships we have with organisations in our local community. These connections play an important role in supporting our pupils’ learning, wellbeing and participation in school life, and reflect our DEIS commitment to working closely with families and community supports.

We work closely with St Aengus Parish, where our pupils take part in important faith events and celebrations throughout the school year, including sacramental preparation and school liturgies.

Our school also collaborates with the East Tallaght School CompletionProgramme (SCP), which provides valuable supports for pupils and families. Through SCP initiatives such as Breakfast Club, mentoring and wellbeing supports, pupils are encouraged to engage positively with school and develop confidence and resilience.

We have strong sporting links within the community. Our pupils benefit from opportunities with Thomas Davis GAA Club, Tymon Park Rangers, and the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght, helping to promote physical activity, teamwork and participation in sport.

Our pupils also regularly engage with Tallaght Library, where they participate in workshops, reading initiatives and educational events that support literacy, creativity and a love of learning.

These partnerships, along with connections with other local community groups and services, help strengthen the relationship between home, school and community, ensuring that Scoil Íosa remains a supportive and welcoming place for all children and families.
