Coill na nÓg Campaign

March 23, 2026

Our school recently took part in the Coill na nÓg campaign, run in partnership with eFlow and Biodiversity in Schools, which promotes knowledge, awareness and the growth of trees in our communities. Out of almost 800 schools that entered nationwide, we were delighted to be randomly selected to receive a free native tree planting kit. We were awarded eight native trees, which were carefully planted in boxes indoors during the frosty winter weather to give them the best possible start before being replanted outdoors in our school garden. This project has given our pupils a valuable opportunity to learn about biodiversity, caring for the environment and the importance of trees for our future, while helping to make our school grounds greener and healthier for everyone.
